Mixing Ratio and Its Process management

The two-component paint requires precise mixing of the main component and the hardener in the correct ratios, which can be very cumbersome. If the ratio is incorrect, the paint may not set properly, leading to quality issues, thus strict process control is essential.

Constraints of Pot Life and Waste of Paint

Two-component paints must be used immediately after mixing because they begin to harden within a set period, known as “pot life.” This time limit is shorter in higher temperatures. If mixed in large quantities and not used, the excess must be discarded, leading to waste of materials.
